Hi, I’m Chris Heaton

I’ve spent 15+ years leading finance and operations for venture- and private-equity-backed SaaS companies.
In every role, my background in software development allowed me to go beyond endless sleuthing and spreadsheet analysis. I wrote code, fixed broken integrations, and modified existing platforms — sometimes correcting systems companies had invested heavily to build.
The pattern was always the same. Company size didn’t matter — from $10M startups to Fortune 500 organizations. Whether guiding sales, executing acquisitions, or raising capital, critical decisions were slowed or distorted because core systems weren’t built to work together.
The cost wasn’t just frustration. It was time, money, and missed opportunities.
The root problem is an unrealistic assumption baked into most software: that it will eventually become the one platform a business runs everything on. In reality, modern companies operate across dozens of tools, generating massive volumes of data those systems were never designed to share.
So I made them work together.
I built pipelines and enhancements that connected systems safely, surfaced previously inaccessible data, and gave leaders real-time visibility into what was happening and why. The data was always there — it was just trapped.
I’m passionate about getting leaders real, data-backed answers. I understand the pressure when numbers don’t line up, and the relief when the real problem finally becomes clear. I help companies find what they couldn’t see — and build systems that make the truth obvious.
